15 Harsh Realities We Ignore At The Start Of A Relationship That We Regret Later
11They admit they can’t do relationships
This is something many of us have seen with our own eyes. One partner cannot handle relationships and admits that they will eventually screw it up while the other begs them to hang on. Sometimes it’s best to believe what the other person is saying and let them go now rather than later when you will be even more emotionally involved in the relationship.
12They cannot give time to the relationship
Most relationships nowadays fail because the people involved in them are working. It is not too hard to make time for your relationship and your work. But, there are people who are just too ambitious and are willing to make time for relationships later. If you’re dating someone who makes it clear that they have no time for a relationship, you should immediately reconsider.
13Breaking things and temper tantrums
A major red flag in a new relationship is how well your partner controls their anger. Do they get angry easily and how do they handle it? If they throw tantrums and begin breaking things, please don’t stay. They may say things like they’re trying but you have to consider the fact that once day they may accidentally hurt you.
14Letting them treat you badly
Even at the start of your relationship, you need to see how they treat you. If they are late for a date how do they make it up? What do they say? If things don’t work out as planned what is their alternative? If your partner does nothing when in the wrong then you should reconsider the relationship because if they do not value you now, how do you think they will behave later?
15Expectations because of your gender
Gender expectations are something that plagues even relationships. There are people who will have certain expectations from you based on your gender which is rather sad in 2019. If you’re a man, you have to work and earn. If you’re a woman you need to know how to cook and clean. If you notice this in your partner to a degree that it becomes insulting, leave.
