This Couple Wore T-Shirts And Jeans On Their Marriage Day To Prove That You Don’t Need A Fortune To Get Married
Marriages mean a grand affair in most parts of the world and some people spent a fortune on their marriages. However, there has always been a debate going on between those who like to have lavish marriages and those who like to keep marriages simple and sober. Many times we hear news of expensive weddings which took place in the families of rich businessmen or politicians but there are some people who think otherwise. Today, we will tell you about a couple who got very famous after their wedding and they are getting praised by many for the manner in which they celebrated their love:
11Meet Glen and Rebecca Maxwell:
Glen (30) and Rebecca (26) are all over the internet and social media accounts after the photos of their thrifty wedding got viral. As per an estimate, the average wedding in the United Kingdom costs around £30,000 because of which many youngsters spent a good number of years in paying the EMIs of the loan.
2Some more about Glen and Rebecca:
Glen works in security while Rebecca is a GCSE and A-Level tutor. They got engaged in August 2016 and since then they started planning for a big Christmas 2018 wedding. However, the more they researched and planned, the more stressed they got as their guest list was going out of control and their wedding’s budget was coming £14,000.
Slowly they understood that expensive wedding is not something that they should opt for. During this period they also avoided to go on holidays or date nights, they just prefer to stay at home together or choose to enjoy each other’s company in casual days out.
4Wedding in Jeans and T-shirts:
As they were already stressed out because they were not able to decide as to how they should arrange their wedding, one evening Glen said to Rebecca that they can even get married wearing jeans and T-shirts and it won’t affect their love in any manner.
5The idea clicked:
This idea was liked by Rebecca as well and they both took the decision of keeping their marriage simple and sober. The expensive plans were cancelled and now they both wanted to be true to themselves and wanted to show people that you don’t need to take debt for getting married.
