National Geographic has always been instrumental in bringing us the best scenes that we could never hope to see in real life. Photos that show how life is full of struggles for both man and animals in a daily constant battle for survival. Some of the photos are beautiful and some spectacular because of the moment in which they were clicked. So without further ado, take a look of some of National Geographic’s best photos of 2018 that express beauty, awe, rage, happiness and everything thrilling.
1Cheetah chasing baby Gazelle
In this picture, the cheetah was captured chasing the baby gazelle and no, it isn’t a full-grown cheetah chasing its prey, both are young and the cheetah was just playing with the gazelle. It let it go soon after it got tired of the game.
2Crocodile hunting Wildebeests
This is one from National Geographic’s contest collections of a crocodile trying to hunt down wild bests in Africa. The photographer is Krishnan Gopala Krishnan from India. The shot was a spectacular one and he happened to be at the right spot at the right time.
3Fisherman saving boy from drowning
This is a real heartfelt picture that speaks a thousand words about humanity. No doubt, this must have been during a time of intense flooding and this fisherman is trying his best to save this boy from the oncoming flood. The picture has been taken by Shabbir Ferdous.
Here is another winner from one of the 2018 National Geographic photo contests. This is a photograph of a student passionately protesting against Economic reforms during the huge protests that rocked Paris in 2018.
