After 6 Months Of Therapy This Woman Reveals How People Go Crazy After A Tragedy
Tragedies are like tornados; the only problem is that we do not get a warning before one occurs. But, just like tornados, they leave a lot of destruction behind. This destruction is in the form of broken families and destroyed lives.
When a tragedy strikes there are many different outcomes but mostly all are negative and sad. The same happed to Katya, when tragedy struck her she was not expecting it and it nearly destroyed her life. Through her strong will she was able to crawl out of the pit she had fallen into and is now trying to help others do the same.
1Who is Katya?
Katya was a normal mother and wife back in 2012 at the age of 28. She had one son and a loving husband and was expecting her second child. She could not have imagined what life had in store for her in a matter of a few days. Katya’s life was about to change in a way that no one could’ve expected.
2What was the incident?
It began with her husband getting ill and then suddenly passing away. She did not mention how that happened but she was left as a single mother about to give birth to her second child while her first was just 3-years-old. This is when she began learning about life. While her tragedy destroyed her from the inside the world kept on moving on the outside.
3Falling into depression and paranoia
A year after the tragedy Katya had lost 45 pounds as she couldn’t find the urge to eat or sleep. This is where she learned of the paranoia people can bring upon themselves. She began thinking she was ill and did research, met doctors and took her temperature 5 times a day. None of it was true and it was all in her head.
She said that she began to feel her heart beating too fast, her hands trembling and she experienced her first panic attack. She said that she tried bottling all the pain and not getting help. It was when she noticed that her clothes were now several times bigger and she found it hard to get out of bed in the morning that she decided to seek professional medical help.
5What did the doctors find?
Since she had nothing to lose she began visiting the doctor regularly. After making up her mind to see a doctor she found a specialist who she could visit for free. After months of meeting the specialist, she discovered that she had reactive depression. This is a type of depression that some people may fall under.
