But even as he is well known for his musical career, very few know of his philanthropic ways and how many kind things he does for the poor and needy. As one of the rock stars inducted into the songwriter’s hall of fame and also regarded by many magazines like People as one of the sexiest rock stars Bon Jovi also owns two restaurants where people can go and eat for free.

1Two restaurants to serve free food to the poor and needy

Yes you heard that right! In 2006, he founded the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation to support the poor and homeless and one of the best deeds of the foundation is the opening of the community restaurant called JBJ Soul Kitchen where needy people aren’t required to pay anything for their meals.

3The second restaurant opened in 2016

The first restaurant opened in New Jersey’s Red Bank area in October 2011 and the second a few years ago in 2016. The second JBJ Soul Kitchen is near Toms River which is an area that suffered extensive damage during Hurricane Sandy. The charity he says was opened to break the cycle of hunger, poverty, and homelessness.”

4Over 100,000 meals served till date

Believe it or not but till date, the restaurants have served more than 100,000 meals to both free and paying customers. The unique thing about both Soul Kitchens is the menu where you won’t find any prices.
