These Women Love Their Grey Hair And Are Not Afraid To Show It
Aging is something we all fear. The thought of growing old and having wrinkled skin, body pain, less mobility, and grey hair is something that sends shivers down our spines. But maybe not all of that is bad. What if some of those things are good?
Today we have some women who have embraced their grey hair with pride. We’re talking about women because society has made us believe that they need to constantly look young and hate getting old as compared to men. These women have learned to love themselves and embrace the natural process of aging. They will surely inspire you.
Greying may appear earlier in some women and in some, it can be during childhood. This is what happened with Greta, who was only 13 when her hair started turning grey. According to her, it was hard to accept at 13, but at age 23, she has matured and has learned to love her hair.
Talking about premature greying, here is another story. Marina started noticing grey hairs since 7th grade and by the time she was 16, her head was full of grey hairs. For 6 years she spent tons of money trying to cover them. In 2015, she decided to let it go and embrace her greys and she has been sporting her gorgeous hair for 4 years. She says it’s a great icebreaker and she has made several friends because of her unique hair.
Lori chose to embrace her greys to show her teenage daughter and her friends that aging is a natural process and women can do it gracefully. It is important to be confident because true beauty lies in being able to celebrate and accept fully, that we are unique. She sounds like a wonderful role model for any teenage girl.
Mindy says that to her, embracing her silver hair is the equivalent of embracing her aging process. She also adds that it isn’t easy for everyone to accept their greys because accept that we are getting older is hard. She stopped using colors and instead used plant-based products to enhance her ombre look. She looks great and says she has never been more confident.
Maria believes that grey hair is about embracing the journey of not just the outward woman, but also the inner woman. We couldn’t agree more. Embracing grey hair just because it looks good means nothing if you aren’t at peace with yourself that you are getting older. Maria believes that we should wear our silver hair as a crown of honor.
