But how effective was or is it in terms of weight loss and calorie consumption, is it just one bad thing replacing another? There are many who prefer even drinking that glass of coke in the morning instead of coffee. Sugar substitutes can be as harmful as sugar in more ways than one. Now studies have proven that diet coke, on the contrary, can actually make you fatter and is just as bad as drinking that regular coke. The problem is that the addictive element in coke is the combination of an excess sweetened flavor mixed with caffeine, so why not switch to coffee instead. At least it’s good for your liver.
