You should develop the child’s ability to be critical and reflective of a situation. They should be able to form a belief or an opinion based on their feelings and understanding of a situation. Try to develop a strong sense of self in your kid so that they do not get manipulated or bullied in school where you won’t be able to protect them. They need to be able to withstand jokes and not give in to them or do strange things just to prove something to others.

They should be steadfast in their opinions and have courage to stand up to it even if it means going against the crowd. This will make them feel proud and grown up and inculcate the feeling that they are also important and have responsibilities in the house. Plus, they learn the importance of helping others and disciplines and rules of the house without being forced.
