John Lennon is one of the most famous British singer and songwriter who was behind the formation of one of the most successful music bands – Beatles. Born in Liverpool, John started his first band “The Quarrymen” in 1957 which was later turned into Beatles in 1960.

1He believed in paranormal
He was a firm believer of paranormal activities and he and his wife Yoko Ono used to consult a psychic before making the business deals. 2John was inspired by Elvis Presley
Elvis Presley who was also known as the King of Rock and Roll had inspired many and John Lennon was also one of them. In fact, the 16-yr old John founded his first band Quarry Men which was titled after his school’s name, only after getting inspired by the instant fame achieved by the King.

3John Lennon once saw an UFO
In the month of August in 1974, John was on the terrace of 53rd Street, Manhattan when he saw an unidentified object (UFO) in the sky. Not just John, in fact, many people from that area saw UFOs, including John’s secretary, May Pang as well. The local police got numerous calls regarding the sighting of UFO on that day.

4He used to sleep in coffin sometimes
Allan William, who was the first manager and original booking agent of Beatles was also the owner of The Jacaranda, a coffee bar and for some unknown reasons, there was a coffin in the premises of the coffee bar. John was so amused by the coffin that sometimes, he used to take a nap in it.

5He was not only legally blind but dyslexic as well
It is pretty well known that John Lennon had very poor eyesight and without those glasses that he used to wear, he was legally blind. The lights were kept on even when he slept as he doesn’t like sleeping in darkness. Later on, he also got to know that he is a dyslexic as well.
