Strange Things That Only Happen In Movies And Never In Real Life
Movies and TV shows are meant to be an escape from the reality that we live in but when even the most realistic movie showcases things that only happen in movies it breaks the immersion. We have all noticed tropes that only happen in movies but never in real life. You’ve seen people randomly switch on TVs and hear exactly what they needed to hear. People knock on a door only to have it answered in a matter of seconds and so on.
1Always finding a parking spot
Have you ever noticed how in movies and TV shows when a character pulls up to their destination at any time of the day or night they always find a place to park? Have you ever seen a character not find a place to park and then has to park a block away and walk back to their destination? No, never! Why? Because it takes time and is boring.
2People achieve a lot at 25
Have you ever noticed how people in movies and TV shows are really successful at the age of 25 or around that age? How many 25-year-olds do you know that are crazy successful? Not that many am I right? That’s because in reality there may be only 1 in 20 who has their life figured out by the age of 25. The rest of us are still grinding and discovering ourselves.
3People open the door immediately
How long does it take you to open your door when you hear the bell ring or a knocking? How long has your friend or loved one taken to open the door when you go knocking? A while, right? That’s because unlike in movies and TV shows they’re not sitting beside the door waiting for someone to come knocking so that they can open it in 2-3 seconds.
4People are self-stylists
What would happen if you took a pair of scissors and gave yourself a haircut? No, we’re not talking about watching a YouTube video on it then slowly and thoughtfully doing it. We’re talking about just cutting your long hair at random. This is how you know you’re in reality and not in the matrix as if you do this in the real world it will look horrifying.
5People’s plans never work but their improvisation does
This is so common in every movie and TV show where a plan is laid out. The day arrives and the plan is followed but something always goes wrong but then they improvise and it works. So, months of careful planning and thinking is no match for on the spot, panic-induced improvisation.
