Social Media Expert Recreates a Southern Version of the Zodiac and the Results Are Funny yet So Accurate
We love reading about astrology on the internet and are used to seeing zodiac readings every day. It is impossible that the explanations could be anything else other than predictions in the usual way. However, one woman has come up with something unique and interesting. Liz Dial who is a social media specialist has created an illustration series of the zodiac showing what the signs would look like if they were southern. Since she is attached to the brand “It’s a southern thing” run buy media house Red Clay, she hit upon the idea that is near viral as people simply love it.
1If zodiac signs were southern
It may be tough to describe what a typical southern person is like as the south is a very diverse place in itself and so are its people. Southern stereotypes could not be further from the truth said Liz. ‘We don’t all look the same and (believe it or not) we don’t all talk the same, either. But one thing that brings us together is respect. Manners are an important part of Southern culture and we’re taught at an early age to show kindness to everyone. We also all suffer through the same miserable and humid summers.”
2Aries the Cicada
With this thought and idea in mind, here are Liz’s zodiac signs that have really hit it off with readers who find it hilarious. Liz says she found it so funny when thinking of the signs as southern descriptions “I’ve always thought that the “The signs as ___” are so funny, especially when someone has assigned random objects to the zodiac but they still somehow make sense and ring true for the signs. That’s what we were trying to do with this series.”
3Taurus would be a bull frog
Liz says she has tried to make the signs relate to their audience who are mostly from the South and at the same time linked it with the signs for those who are astrology fans. Here is Taurus who is depicted not as a bull but a bull from instead.
4Gemini The coyote
This is a clever depiction of the twins because a coyote too is something of both, a dog or a wolf. The signs have been made relatable to the southern audience and the animals also have been selected with traits that are stereotypical of the signs.
