6Why the radical design?

When this plane was announced many people started talking about its unique design and why it was chosen. The plane was specifically designed to improve air travel and make it a better, faster experience.  The design is based on the Gibson Flying-V electric guitar which was used by many rock musicians including Jimi Hendrix and Keith Richards.

7Why make the wings and cabin one?

This new design will help the plane in aerodynamics and improve fuel consumption. It has been estimated that this plane will consume 20% less fuel than the most fuel-efficient ones we have today. If the plane has better aerodynamics it can travel faster with less effort. This was the thinking behind the design.

8When will the launch be?

The prototype of the plane has been created and was funded by KLM and is scheduled to take flight in October of 2019 at the Amsterdam Schipol Airport. It has been rumored that the plane will not be ready for commercial use for another 20 years but this is still a good start.

9Do we need a new design?

Many people say “If it isn’t broken why fix it?” but this does not mean that we don’t improve what we have. The whole idea of this new radical design is to improve aviation as we know it and make it better for humans and even better for the planet. This plane was designed to make a difference.

10How is it better for humans?

As the creators have said, this design will make the plane consume 20% less fuel than any other plane on the planet. This lower fuel consumption means the prices for traveling on the plane will be cheaper and more affordable for the general public. This will make flight a reality for the masses.
