1Hang Nga Guesthouse
The Hang Nga Guesthouse is located in Da Lat, Vietnam. This unique place looks like something straight out of a horror movie from the outside. But inside, you will feel like you have been transported to a magical place because everything is curved! There are no straight lines anywhere. There are ten themed guest rooms.
2The locals call it the ‘Crazy House’
The place was designed by a Vietnamese architect who wanted it to resemble a surrealistic giant gnarled tree. The inside is like a forest with spiral staircases and bridges connecting the rooms. There are birds, toadstools and spider webs scattered everywhere! Those who are weak of heart or scare easily should definitely not visit!
The Norrqvarn Hotel by the Gota Canal in Sweden allows its guests several unconventional rooms to choose from. There are rooms shaped like toadstools, perfect for trolls! Some are painted red and white and look like mushrooms. There are some others that look like tree stumps! Children would be very excited to be here.
4Looks real but is man-made
These are crafted so well they look real. A chainsaw artist crafted the rooms out of wood, concrete, and plywood on the grounds of an old mill. These tiny fantasy rooms can accommodate four people and are comfortable inside. It would be too cold during the winter but you can definitely visit this place during the summer!
In the Netherlands, you can book one of two handcrafted sandcastles! These started in 2015 as temporary sandcastles during a festival in the inland towns of Oss ad Sneek. Sculptors rebuild the sandcastles every summer. The walls and ceiling are treated specially and don’t crumble. There are sand sculptures in the walls. There are moats and turrets like in real castles!
