How 19 Marvel Characters Look In the Original Comics As Compared To the Movies
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has ended on a somber note where though victorious over Thanos, fans were saddened at the demise of Natasha aka agent Romanoff and the big daddy of it all, Tony Stark (Iron Man). The epic finale was overwhelming as MCU lovers will agree but while walking out, there must have been many a melancholic feeling of disorientation knowing we don’t have much to look forward to. On that note, it would have been lovely for the movie to have displayed the credits of the characters besides their comic avatar. For those who may not know, here are 18 such characters and how they looked in comic books.
During the shooting of Age of Ultron, Paul Bettany’s 7-year-old daughter started crying because she wanted the purple daddy back. Over time, The Vision’s bright color became darker in films and closer to the comic version.
Mantis is really sweet in the MCU movies and we saw her last in Infinity War. In the comic version, however, she looks more like a warrior and has a suit made of leather which resembles Loki’s a bit.
Hawkeye is an impressive superhero because like Natasha, he relies on his human skills unlike any special ones. The Hawkeye in MCU does not have a helmet and neither a colorful outfit but in the comic version he does.
Thor the Asgardian god of thunder is one of the most impressive of superheroes in the MCU played by Chris Hemsworth. For most of the journey of the MCU, Thor is seen with no helmet except for the fight scene with Hulk in Ragnarok. In the comic version, Thor looks somewhat different.
Loki is one of the most scheming characters of the MCU but somehow in Ragnarok, he turns you around. The adopted son of Odin, at least in the MCU, he hasn’t lost his helmet like Thor and is more or less seen with the same costume as the comic version.
