15 Of the Funniest Finalist Entries of the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards 2019
The Comedy Wildlife Photography Wards finalists have been chosen for the grand finale of 2019 where the winner will be announced in November and the chosen entries are hilarious as before. The comedy wildlife award is now in its 5th year and continues to make people laugh with its weird shots of spontaneous photography of animals caught unawares. This year in a bid to promote conservation, the organizers have a special message which resonates the real essence of the contest so read on while you enjoy the pictures too.
1 Family disagreement
This is a comical picture by Vlado Pirsa and seems to resemble a perfect husband and wife relationship with the wife wearing the pants.
As mentioned in intro, the message behind this year’s competition is all about conservation. Organizers, Paul Joynson Hicks and Tom Sullam said “Remember, we are all about conservation, we want you to take up our banner of wildlife conservation, bang the drum, beat the cymbal and make some noise, we need to spread the word – wildlife, as we know it, is in danger, all over the world and we need to do something to help save it. You can start by going and having a look at what the Born Free Foundation are doing at www.bornfree.org.uk”
This is one cute photo by harry Walker and it seems as if this little otter has just been caught unawares. The competition according to the organizers was at a very high level and it was almost impossible to shortlist the 40 finalists. The winners will be announced in November.
3The Jolly snowy owl
This is a really cool shot by Vicki Jauron and it must have taken the photographer a lot of patience to get it at the opportune moment.
According to one of the founders, Tom Sollum, this year is one of the finest list of finalists and the competition is also reaching more and more people because this year there were thousands of entries from 80 countries and this is one of the things they love about the competition that it is border free.
Now here’s a chimp with attitude taken by Thomas Mangelsen and the caption is rightly so as he does look like a laid back guy.
The organizers say that the key message they want to get across this year is if everyone can do their bit to help spread the message of conservation. It doesn’t have to be a big effort but a small step by everyone on the planet can make a big difference.
5Where’s the deer?
Here is another funny photograph by Mike Rowe where it seems as if this deer is trying to camouflage himself and thinking he is concealed.
Along with the message of conservation, the organizers say that they have also generated some tips for people to take the initiative of conservation through easy methods. One of them is responsible shopping by avoiding products with palm oil whose plantations are destroying the rain forests. Also, avoid unrecyclable products like plastic.
