Have you ever heard of a street artist in the UK who goes by the handle ‘My Dog Sighs?” Well, if you haven’t, then you are about to see some fantastic street art by this artist who has even been given permission by authorities in Portsmouth to do his thing in various locations and his designs and art will mesmerize you. As a young English boy, My Dog Sighs whose real name is Paul Stone from Southsea+ loved to draw and dreamed of becoming an artist. He even left his job as a kindergarten teacher to follow his dream and it has paid off as you can see from the amazing images below.

1At first his idea did not work out well

Stone’s idea of becoming an artist did not have an easy start and though he started painting to please British Galleries, he wasn’t successful. He tried his best to promote his art and visited several people within a 30 km radius but nothing doing. No one wanted to work for him. Downhearted, and discouraged, he almost thought of giving up.

2He was inspired by Bansky

Stone was suddenly inspired by the famous street artist Bansky who is almost anonymous and is well known in the UK. Stone saw a mouse painting by Bansky on a wall and then realized that there were other ways to express his art. He then began spreading around his work in London hoping people will see his art and feel good about it as it will have made their day.

3He promoted himself as a street artist

Stone worked relentlessly promoting himself as a street artist and even working for free. He also participated in the infamous Free Friday Art Project. Slowly but surely his efforts paid off and he began to rise in fame. His fame spread to Israel, Japan, and the UK. His shows started selling out and he soon became a strong figure on the contemporary art scene in the UK.

4He works best with street art
