Research at The Southern California University of Health Sciences’ found that when guggul was given to patients for one month, their symptoms of swelling, inflammation, pain and stiffness reduced.

How to use it:

Take a 1/4th teaspoon tincture guggul and add to ½ tsp of water and drink half an hour before every meal thrice daily.

2Eucalyptus oil

Eucalyptus oil has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties which soothes and relieves joint pain from rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis or muscle injuries. All you have to do is mix up to 10 drops of eucalyptus oil with peppermint oil along with carrier oil such as moringa or olive oil. Rub the oil mixture into the aching joints and you will feel instant relief.

3Black cohosh

Black cohosh is an excellent remedy for muscle pain as it works as an anti-spasmodic and contains salicylic acid which is an anti-inflammatory ingredient found in many creams and ointments for pain. You need to use not more than 40 mg to 80 mg of cohosh per day. Mix 2-4ml of cohosh tincture to water or tea and consume thrice a day. You can also buy it in capsule form but avoid this if you have liver issues.



Cinnamon is also good for joint pain because it contains an ingredient called cinnamaldehyde that is responsible for the cinnamon flavor. It prevents the release of inflammatory fatty acid like arachidonic acid in the body. Cinnamon also reduces inflammation in arthritis.


Mix 1 small tsp of cinnamon powder with 1 cup water and 2 tsp honey and drink this in the morning and at night.
