1Cicely Tyson
Cicely Tyson was born on December 19th, 1924 and started out as a model for Ebony magazine. Her first film role was ‘Carib Gold’ in 1956 and soon she turned to TV shows. She was the first African American to star in a television drama. When she started doing movies again she became well known for portraying strong African-American women. She is still active as an actress at the age of 94.

She was born on the first of July, 1916 and had a career that spanned from 1935 to 1988 during which she appeared in 49 feature films. She is currently among the last surviving actors of the “Golden Age” of Classical Hollywood. Throughout her career, she received many awards and honors for her outstanding work in cinema. She retired from acting in 1988 and is currently 102 years old.

She is among the most famous female comedians in Hollywood. Born on January 17th, 1922, Betty started her career in 1939 and currently has the longest television career for a female entertainer, which has spanned 80 years. She is also the first woman to produce a sitcom. She is still active as an actress and producer at the age of 97.

This English singer and actress was born on 20th March 1917. Her height of fame came during the Second World War when her recordings and performances were enormously popular. She was dubbed “The Forces’ Sweetheart” as she regularly performed at outdoor concerts in Egypt, India, and Burma during the war for the troops as a part of the Entertainments National Service Association (ENSA). She is still active and is 102 years old.
